Built very sturdy. So supports your back without bending or giving way. It not only "decompresses" your spine but does stretches your back muscles. It allows those muscles to relax against the support. THIS is where my back pain comes from. Where my gut has gotten larger, my back muscles can't keep up. This allows it to stretch and relax before going to bed.

The description fails to note that there is a 250 pound weight limit for this product. I'm not sure if that means that a person can't weigh more than that, or if the part of your body that it's supporting is limited to 250 pounds. I have a very tight back and have been using this product for a few weeks. I've seen no improvement and it's still just as uncomfortable as it was on day 1!

My back cracks every time I lay on this device so it's working. I feel better after using it. You definitely have to get used to the arch. I was in pain the first time, but that just showed how bad my back my aligned. But now I don't feel the pain, just a good back cracking and a good posture afterward.

This does what it says it will do. The first time you try it, if your back needs cracking, you may get a little pop. I'm not going to tell you it's comfortable, but what do you expect . Your back doesn't really want to be cracked.
